Good Shepherd, part 4: Died For His Sheep
What owner loves his sheep so much that he would sacrifice his own and only son in their place? And yet this is exactly what God did for us. He gave us His Son, the Good Shepherd, who is the ultimate blessing as a shepherd in our lives, and God struck Him down with the Sword of judgment that was meant for us. This makes no sense. What shepherd loves his sheep enough to die in their place?
