A Summer of Prayer Discernment, and Strengthening our Shared Witness

As our denomination prepares to gather for its 69th Convention this July, these four short videos offer a simple, high-level introduction to the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod. 

Moments like this are a helpful reminder that we are part of something larger, and that understanding who we are, where we come from, and what we believe matters.

  • Where did the LCMS come from? A brief overview of our historical roots and early formation.
  • What does the LCMS believe? A high-level summary of our theological core.
  • How is the LCMS structured? A simple explanation of districts, circuits, conventions, leadership, and congregational partnership.
