This July our high school youth will be activating their faith and putting it into action when they embark on the 2025 High School Mission Trip to Oklahoma City, OK. This is a new location for all of us and we are excited to return to a more urban area this year as we use our gifts to serve God and others.

As the students and adults prepare for their trip, we covet your prayers. Here are some specific ways you can pray for us:

• For the courage to show compassion, grace, and mercy to each other as we grow in our relationships with one another.
• For boldness to meet and build relationships with new people, from others on the trip with us to those we meet in the community.
• For patience, peace and rest (these weeks are long and tiring!).
• That the parents of the students on the trip would have confidence and peace as they send their students on this adventure and are disconnected from them for the week.
• And most importantly, that we would have the courage to speak the name of Jesus and reflect his love to those he has called us to serve.

We invite you to pray for these students and leaders by name. Students in bold are attending their first high school mission trip with the Church:

9th grade students: Charlie, Henry, Jonathan

10th grade students: Maryke

11th grade students: Addie, Amari, Grant, Sam, Will, Sophie A, Greta,

12th grade students: Zoe

Entering college: Morgan, Sophie T

Adults leaders: Emily Powers, Shane Fisher and ????? (We are still looking for more adults.)

In addition to prayers, we are in need of financial support for our trip. Any donation will go towards scholarships for students and leaders, gas money and transportation, and various expenses on the trip. If you are led to help support our students, you can make a donation on our website or through the Elexio app (choose “YOUTH” in the drop down menu). You can also leave a check in the office (write “mission trip” in the donation line).  Consider this:

• $450 covers the cost of a leader to attend
• $75 covers a tank of gas
• $1,100 covers the cost of a van rental (we are renting 2)
• $50 will cover snacks for the group or materials we are missing at a job site
• $6 covers the cost of a t-shirt for a participant
• $250 will cover the cost of a special meal/outing for the group

Thank you for your support for our young people. It is such a blessing to be in a place where youth are seen as the church of today and are encouraged by the entire body of Christ.
